MACT*Fest ’25 performance session 1 will start at 1:30 pm on Friday afternoon. It will feature 2 shows: “Game of Life“, presented by County Seat Theater Company and “Little Claus & Big Claus“, presented by Mindless Mirth Productions.

At their monthly game night, friends get together to have a fun night in while catching up on the highs and lows of their everyday lives.

Meanwhile, their children hang out downstairs and have similar conversations about relationships, family, love and loss and current events.

The County Seat Theater Company has been producing top notch theater since 1987. It has progressed to a national award winning Community Theater! Our home, the Encore Performing Arts Center and Gallery, includes a space for artists to showcase their work and provides the community with a full season of adult and youth plays, concerts and events.

Little Claus & Big Claus

This is an adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale that has been  rewritten for the stage. 

Little Claus works for a bully named Big Claus. In a series of adventures Little Claus becomes a Bugs Bunny like character who reveals some truths about greed, morality and human nature, with laughs. 

Mindless Mirth Productions, based in Saint Paul, has been around since 1989 and has produced shows for MACT, The Minnesota Fringe Festival, The Zephyr Theater in Stillwater, The Gremlin Theater at it’s original location in Saint Paul and has toured with shows throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.  They showcase mostly new works and try to create a positive experience both on stage and off during rehearsals.

About MACT*Fest

MACT*Fest will be March 7-9 at the Depot Theatre in Duluth. It will feature 4 performance sessions, with 2 shows Friday afternoon, Friday night and Saturday night and 3 shows Saturday afternoon. Following each show’s performance there will be comments by each of the three adjudicators. There will also be 4 workshop sessions, 2 Friday morning and 2 Saturday morning, with a choice of 3 options in each session. Saturday, after the final adjudication, there will be an “afterglow” social at Incline Station, located across the street from the Radison Hotel.
