A Month of Sundays

Rescheduled from October 6-8 to October 20-22.
book by Bob Larbey
“A Month of Sundays,” is a two-act dramatic comedy that deals with the challenges and humor of aging. The story centers on Cooper and Aylott, residents and best friends at the Rest and Retirement Home in Westchester County, NY. Cooper, who has gone into a nursing home rather than become a burden on his family, flirts valiantly with the female staff, banters with the other old folks and keeps a close check on his “record of physical deteriorations.” Aylott is experiencing cognitive decline and fearful of what lies ahead. In supporting each other, they navigate their aging journey with humor and wit, aware that life can best be endured if treated as a comedy.
Seasoned area actors in this show include Rachel Barduson (Alexandria), Steven Collazos (Barrett), Grace Hiltner (Morris), Michelle Nessman (Hoffman), Dany Pederson (Alexandria), and Matt Zaske (Donnelly). Sandy Alvstad of Evansville is the director.
