We are so excited that you have decided to audition with us for Disney’s The Little Mermaid!
Welcome to the Great Northern Theatre Company auditions.  Please take time to familiarize yourself with some information about our process. We are a family friendly theater company, and all are welcome.

For Disney’s The Little Mermaid there will be a Kids chorus. If you have a child auditioning in the show, there will be expectations of the parents during practice. We will discuss specifics at auditions and the first week of practice.

  • Ages 7-9 will be auditioning for our Kid’s Chorus. This will be the first 30 minutes of the audition and each person will sing a short version of Under the Sea and learn a short dance.
  • Ages 10-12 can audition for the Kid’s Chorus, or can audition in the adult audition. Kids ages 10-12 may still be cast in the Kid’s Chorus if auditioning with the adults.
  • Ages 13+ should prepare materials as outlined below.
Below is a summary of characters in The Little Mermaid:

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

A quality production comes from hard work and commitment on the part of everyone in the cast and crew. If members of the cast or crew are missing on days we didn’t expect, it creates confusions and is not fair to other members.  For this reason, we ask you to consider the following information:

  •  Please think through conflicts with the rehearsals and performances before you audition. Think about work, sport events, religious obligations, and family vacations so that these important conflicts are honestly recorded on your audition form.
  • We cast based on conflicts you are honest about, and if NEW conflicts arise, you MAY be re-cast.
