In 1965, unmarried pregnant women were `sent away’ to deliver babies in secret, put them up for adoption, and tell not a soul. Where did these women go? They went to Watermelon Hill. This is the heartbreaking, hilarious, and hard-to-believe story of three such unwed mothers and the nuns, priests, social workers, doctors, parents, and `unwed fathers’ who made it all possible.
