Larry’s impact reaches far beyond the stage. In the 1990s, he helped form the New Prague Arts Council and continues to serve on its Board. He is also a key member of a leadership team working to raise $1 million for the construction of an outdoor performance stage—an effort that has already secured over $950,000.

At the state level, Larry has been a cornerstone of the Minnesota Association of Community Theatres (MACT) since 2000. He has served as President, Senior Vice President, and currently as Treasurer. In addition to chairing numerous festivals, Larry built and now maintains MACT’s website and serves as editor of the organization’s weekly newsletter, which reaches nearly 500 subscribers.

A steadfast advocate for the arts, Larry has devoted decades to building spaces—both physical and creative—where community theatre can thrive.

AACT provides networking, resources, and support for America’s theatres. AACT represents the interests of more than 7,000 theatres across the United States and its territories, as well as theatre companies with the U.S. Military Services overseas.
