Darby Lunceford Announced as Next Executive Director at Lakeshore Players Theatre

Lunceford, who has been serving as the interim Executive Director, said “I have had the privilege of gaining an in-depth understanding of Lakeshore Players’ mission, values, and operations. I have worked closely with our dedicated team, collaborated with the Board of Directors, and engaged with many devoted supporters in order to ensure a successful leadership transition while also moving the organization forward. This experience has deepened my commitment to Lakeshore, and reinforced my belief in its potential to make a lasting impact.”

Lunceford is an accomplished arts professional and administrator with a career spanning over 25 years in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Working in various disciplines including theatre, opera, dance and orchestral, Lunceford started his career in the arts in New York City working on a multitude of marketing and advertising campaigns for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. He has worked with numerous arts organizations all over North America in a variety of roles from marketing services to consulting. Locally, he was most recently the Executive Director at The Phipps Center for the Arts, and prior to that role served as Chief Marketing Officer at MN Opera and Director of Marketing and Communications at Children’s Theater Company. He received his BFA in Theater Studies with a minor in Communications from The Theatre School at DePaul University.
