MACT

A great friend of MACT, Frank Peot of Wisconsin, has retired as AACT’s Secretary after almost 35 years in the position. Frank has adjudicated at and has been the AACT Festival Commissioner for several MACT*Fests and Region V festivals.

In an article in AACT’s Spotlight magazine, AACT Executive Director, Quiana Clark-Roland, wrote that Frank joined AACT as a charter member in 1986 and has been a member of numerous AACT committees, as well as serving as secretary for the AACT Board of Directors since 1990. He traveled to all board meetings to take minutes and, when needed, clarified discussions and decisions from previous sessions. He has also been instrumental in organizing and maintaining the AACT archives at the University of Wisconsin.
Frank has represented AACT at the International Amateur Theatre Association Congress and Festivals in Monaco, Norway, Korea, and Canada, and enthusiastically attended all AACTFest events. His extensive experience as an administrator, adjudicator, director, writer, and designer, has benefitted AACT and his service as president, vice president, secretary, and board member for many other arts organizations. His AACT honors include the Robert E. Gard Superior Volunteer Award, Mort Clark International Achievement Award, and Special Recognition Award. He was also named an AACT Fellow.
For over 35 years, Frank has served as a loyal and active member of the AACT family and community. It is because of people like him that we are able to change the world through theatre. AACT will be forever grateful for that.

We join AACT in thanking Frank Peot for his many years of service to AACT, WACT, MACT and innumerable other theatre organizations over the years. It is always a pleasure seeing and working with Frank. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
