Did you know AACT sponsors a New Play Fest every year?
Many new plays are submitted, read, and the winners are selected to be presented in theaters throughout the USA. For full details check out the AACT website link. https://aact.org/newplayfest-2024. Minnesota’s own County Seat Theater Company of Cloquet premiered one of the shows in the AACT NewPlayFest ’18. They even brought that show, “Sweet“, to MACT*Fest that year where it advanced to the Region V AACTFest.
This coming year, our friends to the east, Verona Area Community Theater (Wisconsin), has been selected to present one of these New Plays. (VACT hosted WACTFest ’23 and their region’s festival earlier this year in their beautiful facility.) In conjunction with VACT hosting one of these world premiere productions, WACT (Wisconsin Association of Community Theatres) wants to invite theaters to join them for this momentous event. In lieu of WACT’s traditional WACTCON, they invite you to join them for:
