Mini MACT*Facts logo

MACT’s website and newsletter run on a WordPress website. Among the plugins we use is an automated newsletter plugin. In that plugin we can define various lists that users can subscribe to. We currently have three public lists.

The “Mini MACT*Facts Newsletter” list is used to generate our (currently) weekly e-newsletter. This is completely automated using “posts”, “ads” “auditions” and “events” that we create on the website. This is the list you want to be on if you want to see the general news items (posts), ads and upcoming auditions and/or other events from our website.

The “AACT News” list is used to send periodic information from AACT. It is not sent on a regular basis and requires us to go in and create the newsletter and content each time. This might include information about AACTFest, AACT Awards, AACT (free to the public) webinars and other AACT programs and activities. If you do not want to receive this information, you can unsubscribe from this list using the “Manage your subscription” link at the bottom of all newsletters.

The “MACT Festivals and Other News” list is used to send periodic information about MACT’s news, upcoming festivals and other MACT events (like training and workshops). It is not sent on a regular basis and requires us to go in and create the newsletter and content each time. Most of this information will also be in our regular Mini MACT*Facts newsletter. But if you don’t want to receive the Mini MACT*Facts newsletter but still want to keep up with news about MACT’s events, like festivals and workshops, you can subscribe to this list and not the Mini MACT*Facts newsletter.

Each list is independent of each other. (Other than that a subscriber can choose what combination of lists they want to be included on.)

Use the “Manage your subscription” link at the bottom of every newsletter to make changes to your user profile and subscriptions. If you ever change your e-mail address, please remember to use that same link to update your e-mail address in our system so you don’t miss out on any of the information you signed up for.
