Remembering LYNN MUSGRAVE

Lynn Musgrave passed away on Sunday, February 25th. The entire Minnesota theatre community has suffered a great loss. Lynn worked with many Minnesota theatres as an actor, director and sound designer. She worked extensively with Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) and served on that organization’s Board of Directors for 10 years.

Lynn received her BA in theatre from Northeastern Oklahoma State University and her MA in theatre from University of Michigan.

I remember the sound design workshop Lynn presented at MACT*Fest 2001. I was very impressed by her. She also directed many of the MACT*Fest shows for TRP, many of which were selected as “Best of Fest” and advanced to the Region V AACTFest.

TRP’s facebook page has this to say about Lynn: “A versatile talent on stage and off, Lynn gifted TRP as actor, director, sound designer, Board member, MACT festival promoter, Technical Advisory Board member, creator of vivid tableaux vivant, and force of nature. She worked throughout the Twin Cities but made TRP her home, performing here in 18 shows from 1981-2004; and directing a staggering 53 shows in our arena from 1984-2018, including many area premieres, huge casts and technically complex productions, always with a sure hand and a throaty chuckle. Applause to you, Lynn. Rest now.”

I will update this post with Lynn’s official obituary when it comes available.
