Fast*Fest will be held August 17 at the Encore Performing Arts Center in Cloquet. It will feature 15 shows of 20 minutes or less, divided into 3 sessions with 5 performance in each session. In “Lunchtime!“, by Lawrence Ripp, a man and a woman share a park bench for weekday lunch. A voyage of discovery ensues.
This Mindless Mirth Productions (St Paul) show will open the second performance session on Saturday afternoon.
In “All’s well That Ends”, written by Noreen Brandt, a very obliging butler continues to put up with insults from his rich snotty employer … or does he??
NKB Productions (Minneapolis) will be presenting this show as the second performance on Saturday afternoon.
In “Porch Talk”, written by Jon Skaalen, two neighbor women contemplate a surreptitious, possibly nefarious outing.
Rhubarb Jam (Sauk Centre) will be presenting this show as the third performance in the Saturday afternoon session.
“Anniversary Season”, by Jenny Ly Bader, presents Matt and Zoe. They got married during the hurricane season, and each year when their anniversary rolls around they seem to battle each other, or prepare for another storm. Will their marriage last? Will they remember their anniversary? Will the power be knocked out again?
This fourth show in the Saturday afternoon performance session is presented by the Zenith City Players (Cloquet).
