Fast*Fest this Friday & Saturday

Fast*Fest is quickly approaching. Join us on Friday, August 16 for a welcome open house from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, August 17 with the first performance starting at 9:00 am. All events will take place at the Encore Performing Arts Center in Cloquet.

On Saturday there will be 3 performance sessions with 5 shows in each session.

Session 1 will start at 9:00 am. It includes:

  • Sister Loretta – Penny Pinchin’ Productions
  • The Spot – County Seat Theater Company
  • The Last Romeo – Ole Olson Onstage
  • Macbeth, The Oppositional King – Classics Lost ‘N’ Fount Theatre
  • Jeanette Rankin: Champion of Persistence – Thorn Productions

For lunch you are on your own with several restaurants a short drive away in Cloquet.

Session 2 will start at 1:30 pm. It includes:

  • Lunchtime! – Mindless Mirth Productions
  • All’s Well That Ends – NKB Productions
  • Porch Talk – Rubarb Jam
  • Anniversary Season – Zenith City Players
  • Timber – Marshall Area Stage Company

For those who purchase the full package, there will be a dinner consisting of pulled pork sandwiches, a pasta/vegie salad, beans, coleslaw, vegies, fruit, chips, a rice crispie bar and water. If you have not purchased the full package, dinner is on your own.

Session 3 will start at 6:30 pm. It includes:

  • The Door – Seat of Your Pants Players
  • Heart Attack: My Journey to Hell and Back – Open Heart Theatre
  • Wedding Belle Blues – Pargeter Players
  • A Woman Over Forty – Applause Community Theatre
  • Death Knocks – FungusAmongus Players

Following each performance there will be a short discussion of the show.

There will be an afterglow social after the final performance and discussion Saturday night.

Individual session tickets may be purchased on-line or at the door for $25 per session. Full packages, which includes the two socials, all three performance sessions and the dinner, are available on-line for $65.

The festival is being hosted by County Seat Theater Company. All events will take place at the Encore Performing Arts Center in Cloquet.

This should be record setting festival, with more shows and more attendees than ever before! We hope to see you all there.
