Founded in 1953 in White Bear Lake, Lakeshore Players Theatre has continuously operated as a community theater. In April 2018, Lakeshore began a new era, operating year-round in the new Hanifl Performing Arts Center. Our beautiful new home, is really a gift from thousands of residents of our city and the surrounding region, who have so generously contributed to our capital and growth campaigns. For this we are truly grateful.
It doesn’t stop there. We are a true community theatre and our small, dedicated staff depends on the many volunteers who help put together every show. For every production, volunteers fill vital roles behind the scenes, on the stage, and in the house. I hope you will check out the many opportunities to be involved. No experience necessary and it’s fun!
Lakeshore Players Theatre arts education programs include a range of classes and workshops for adults, K-12th grade programming, in-school residencies where Lakeshore Players Theatre brings the theatre right into the schools, plus fun summer programs.
Theatre arts education integrates life and learning through experience. Comprehensive classes are led by professional teaching artists to enhance creative expression while developing useful life skills. Lakeshore Players is thrilled to offer classes and workshops for all people, all ages, and all abilities.
Lakeshore Players Theatre also presents concerts throughout the year. These concerts feature local and regional talent of all types.
